MAKE MY MOVIE “ANGEL JUNKIE”
MAKE MY MOVIE PROJECT (MMM) is an innovative multi-platform project that utilizes the public to decide which idea should receive $100,000 to be used to create a low-budget feature film. The idea is simple: submit a synopsis, and make a movie poster:
Can you imagine how awesome an opportunity this is. Movies such as Kevin Smith’s CLERKS ($27,000), Shane Carruth PRIMER ($7,000), Darren Aronofsky’s Pi ($68,000), David Lynch’s ERASERHEAD ($100,000) and Robert Rodriguez’s EL MARIACHI ($7,000) were all made with cinematic dedication and for less than $1000,000.
From the website being launched last week, there are already well over 100 proposed ideas. There are some really good ones on there that I wouldn’t mind seeing myself; the type of stories that would utilize $100,000 to bring some movie-magic to the screen, as opposed to some made-for-TV-soap melodrama (no hard feelings)
MY IDEA
My most recent story and project entry has a religious tone (which is a surprise to me too) that pits a lost youth addicted to drugs against a fabled threat of biblical evil.
I have multiple twist endings that wont disappoint even the most hardened atheist or believer. Help bring a story of good versus evil and all-round awesomeness to the big screen, follow the link (poster) below and vote for my story – ANGEL JUNKIE -
If anyone cares to know a tiny film buff’s easter-egg; the man hanging from the angel is ‘Harold Lloyd‘ one of the greatest if not THE greatest stuntmen to ever defy serious injury; the Jackie Chan of his time perhaps?
Vote for me because it would make me happy, making an audience and others happy. I’m plenty good with words and with progressing a story forward using visuals alone, and all that stuff about sassing the competition would feel pretty good too.
[you must have either a Facebook, Twitter and/or Gmail account to vote]
My hope is that your support will have a snow-ball effect and encourage others you may know to also vote for me. I can do this. I hope you can get in the spirit of helping a dreamer like me out
or any other eager storyteller out there. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for updates.
