This is a great film. It tackles all the right subject matter to appeal to all manners of people, young and old. Love. Betrayal. Redemption. Escapism. Heroism. Big bark and a big bite with dragons AND explosions!
It is in 3D and the best movie going experience you’ll have all decade. Don’t miss it.
I’m trying hard not to give anything away without sounding like I’m being ambiguous. All you need to know is; for whatever reason it is that you come to DarkInTheBoy, you will enjoy Avatar. Go lose yourself in Pandora.
I woke up at 6AM to catch the 9.15AM screening at IMAX 3D in town. Well worth the hassle. But, right on the brink of the third act, the projector breaks down… Back in the real world, I’m left waiting for 5minutes wondering what the FUCK just happened.
It was 11.00AM and some morning manager entered and told us that we could enter the other theatre screening that had just begun (disrupting the other audience’s viewing pleasure I’m sure) and that a full refund and complimentary IMAX ticket will be issued to us (9AM audience)
Sure this sounds bad, like a once in a thousand fuck up, and of all times; but the more I think about it, the more it seems to me like it was the best thing that could have happened. The film was free and tripled. …But Fuck You IMAX Screw-up’s!!! 6+Hours; the parking ticket was a bitch!
